Will you find time to support those in need in our community? Do you want to network, as well? IABC/Tucson announces its Service event in conjunction with our National Day of Service. We'll need donations of gently used warm clothes and we'll create comfort kits for the homeless Please note: This will be a brown-bag lunch and we encourage everyone to bring lunch and share a time of community service with us. Light refreshments also will be provided. The UA Communications Club also is involved.

Warm clothing donations including gently used hats, gloves, blankets and coats will be accepted in addition to items for service kits.

For the comfort kits -- Each bag will hold grooming and health products collected by IABC/Tucson members and their co-workers and colleagues. Attendees are asked to bring donations, be ready to stuff bags and share some time together. Comfort Kits can contain trial sized items such as

  • toothbrush/toothpaste
  • shampoo
  • lotion
  • soap
  • comb
  • self-adhesive bandages
  • hand sanitize4
  • tissue packets
  • sugar-free cough drops
  • lip balm.

This event is free to attend, but we would like to know if you’re coming, so RSVP to events@iabctucson.com

If you cannot attend but wish to donate items, please contact a board member to make arrangements for getting the items to the event. Any questions:  Vanessa P. Reyes, Professional Development Director: vpreyes@email.arizona.edu
