IABCTucson.com – Better than Ever!

Kudos to Paul Tumarkin, our chapter’s Technology Director, for leading the charge to rebuild our Website.  Along with a great new design, the site sports easy-to-use navigation, lots of great resources, and useful links to IABC international.

Paul notes that although many people had a hand in the effort, special thanks are due to Martha Retallick of Western Sky Communications and RAIM for putting together the designs and templates, to Susan Guerrero for her input and for making arrangements for support from RAIM, and to the chapter’s board members for assisting with the review process.

In the future, Paul plans to add features and content that will make the site an even more useful source for news and information about IABC and what our chapter has to offer. If you have recommendations or ideas for things you'd like to see, please contact Paul at pkt@barkingshelby. com. He’ll collect the emails and guide our efforts to continually improve the site. After all, in the digital age, a site is never a finished product!

Join the IABCTucson.com Scavenger Hunt
Take a spin around the new www.iabctucson. com and win a prize!

Find the answers to the following  five questions and submit them to Elena Acoba at acoba@dakotacom. net by May 18, 2007:

  1. "The write hand of leadership" is the motto of which independent contractor?
  2. What was the title of the March 3, 2005 chapter meeting?
  3. What is the third reason why someone should join IABC?
  4. Name one way that www.iabc.com lists as a way for you to find a job.
  5. How many IABC/Tucson members have earned the ABC designation from IABC?

The names of those with the most correct answers will be entered in a drawing for a free teleseminar offered by IABC or a free lunch at an IABC/Tucson chapter meeting.

Contest rules:
The free teleseminar will be awarded to the person who has the most correct answers. If more than one person has the same number of correct answers, a drawing from among those people will determine the winner. The free lunch will be awarded in a drawing from among the remaining names. If there are no remaining names, the free lunch will be awarded to the person with the second most correct answers or in a drawing from among the group of people with the second most correct answers. Got that?

More qualifiers:

  • The contest is open to members and trial members in good standing in IABC/Tucson as of the deadline for entries, May 18, 2007.
  • Persons involved in the development of the new Website and IABC/Tucson board members are not eligible to enter.
  • The judges are not required to name a winner. Winners must have at least two correct answers.
  • The judges' decision is final.
  • Prizes cannot be substituted.
  • Winners may transfer prizes to third parties.
