Updating Member Info on www.iabctucson.com
As part of the effort to improve connections with other business communicators, the member directory on www.iabctucson.com will now include social-media addresses such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. Please take a look at your listing. If you want to change it, please send the complete listing you’d like posted to Monica Surfaro Spigelman, msurfarospigelman@gmail.com. She will make the first round of changes for those who submit their listings by July 31, 2009.
Accreditation Work Group
A couple of IABC/Tucson members plan to pursue the Accredited Business Communicator designation offered through IABC. They would like to form a work group, which helps individuals through the process with tips and encouragement. If you’re interested, contact Marci TeBockhorst, marci_tebockhorst@raytheon.com. IABC/Tucson can help by creating a discussion or e-mail group for ABC applicants and inviting a speaker.
Looking for Meet Space
The 10 judges evaluating the entries for the IABC/Dallas Quill Awards plan to meet Monday, July 27. If you can offer a free, centralized meeting space or know where one is, please contact Elena Acoba, acoba@dakotacom.net.
