Learn to Unleash Your Creativity on October 14

“Harnessing Your Creativity for Work That THRIVES”
    Wednesday, Oct. 14, 3-5 p.m.
Maynards Market & Kitchen, 400 N. Toole Ave.
    (
Workshop upstairs in Maynard's Drawing Room)

Lifestyle Design Coach Jenny Ferry will guide you to discover and use your personal “zones of genius.” After Ferry discusses right-brain competencies, creativity and curiosity, she’ll lead small-group exercises that help you discover your creative self. You’ll leave with a simple took-kit for accessing your creativity at work, boosting your value to your employer.

Ferry founded Crest of Your Life, a learning and development firm. She’s a seasoned business consultant in leadership development, strategic planning and executive coaching.

Cost to attend this life-changing workshop is $20 for members and students, $25 for non-members. RSVP now by paying online at our website RSVP page. Seating is limited and RSVPs must be in by Monday, Oct. 12.

Get together with fellow IABCers for happy hour at Maynards even if you don’t plan to attend the workshop.

    Welcome New Members

Five new members joined IABC/Tucson, bringing our membership to 52. Please welcome:

    Member News

Daphne Gilman, our chapter’s vice president, will attend the Pacific Plains Region Leadership Meeting just before the region conference in Minneapolis. She’ll learn strategies for improving chapter activities and bring concerns to fellow chapter leaders.

Congratulations to Julie Ray, owner of Julie Ray Creative, for becoming a finalist for the annual 40 Under 40 award that recognizes young community leaders. This is the second time an IABC/Tucson member was named a finalist; Paul Tumarkin was in the top 60 last year.

    Reminders

World Membership Month continues through Sept. 30. Invite colleagues and co-workers to join IABC this month to save the one-time registration fee of up to $40. Plus, your referral will save you $25 at your next membership renewal. Contact Paul Tumarkin, pkt@barkingshelby.com.

Members are still needed to judge entries from the Saskatchewan chapter for its ACE awards. It’s a great way to see what other business communicators are doing. Contact Elena Acoba, acoba@dakotacom.net.
