Tucson Festival of Books Booth: Seeking Volunteers and Donations
Thank you to the eight IABC/Tucson members who have volunteered to staff our booth at the March 13-14 festival. There’s plenty of room for more, so if you’d like to spend some time extolling the virtues of business communications and its practitioners, as well as hang-out with your fellow IABCers, RSVP at events@iabctucson.com.

We also plan to give away books in a daily drawing. If you would like to donate something, contact Nancy McCluskey-Moore, nmcmoore@yahoo.com. The book can be on any topic.

Watch for details on where our members will meet up for networking each day!

Vote for Future Events
As you may know, IABC offers several web seminars each year. We’d like to bring some of these seminars to Tucson as an affordable professional development option. We have developed a quick poll to gauge interest in upcoming seminars. A separate e-mail will be sent to you. Please vote so we can arrange to have the most popular ones broadcast here.

Also, if your company plans to offer any of these seminars for your staff and you could allow some IABC/Tucson members to join you, please contact Paul Tumarkin, pkt@barkingshelby.com, to discuss partnership possibilities.

Many Thanks!
IABC/Tucson this year has tried a few new things for its members, including more affordable and flexible membership gatherings. Thanks to these members who have suggested, organized or presented stimulating get-togethers under this new initiative:
· Sally Sumner, posting videos
· Daphne Gilman, employee engagement
· Paul Tumarkin, creativity
· Monica Surfaro-Spigelman, powerful print
· Karen Wood, Quill judges happy hour
· Michelle Rau, charity activity
· Paula Bohte, charity activity
· Kathy Hippensteel, upcoming retirement planning
· Nancy McCluskey-Moore, upcoming Tucson Festival of Books
· John Brown, upcoming pre-emptive PR.
If you have an idea for a member gathering, contact Paul Tumarkin.

Going to IABC’s World Conference?
At least one IABC/Tucson member wants to know if anyone plans on attending or is considering attendance to the June 6-9 gathering in Toronto. If you fit that bill and want to get in touch with others, let Elena Acoba, acoba@dakotacom.net, know and she’ll get you connected.
