IABC Chair Barb Gibson Visits Tucson
London-based IABC Chair Barb Gibson visited Tucson last month, participating in a tweet-up, a breakfast session for members and a luncheon meeting held at Maynards, downtown at the historic train depot. Barb’s talk focused on social media and international communications. With her global reach and vast experience with integrated communications, Barb provided insights on her evolution in social media networking; she also gave the group a perspective on our global IABC organization, with its unique opportunities to network internationally and to learn cultural characteristics when communicating globally. It was an interesting look at how to participate in and benefit from our fellow IABC worldwide contacts.
Thanks to chapter members John Brown, Marilyn Pincus and Monica Surfaro Spigelman for providing support for Barb's weekend visit. And thank you, Barb, for the good networking and all the fun!
